Wireless Switch
The wireless glass switch modules transmit a wireless signal as soon as a button is pushed. The module is always in a low-power state to consume as little power as possible. However, when a button is pushed, the module wakes up and instantly transmits the wireless signal to the appropriate destination. When this is done, the module returns to a low-power state. This allows the switches to run on a small coin-cell battery for over a year, depending on use. For more information on how the switches are meant to be used in a complete system, please look at our Home Automation page. |
It is possible to choose between a battery-operated version, and a mains-powered version. The big advantage of battery powered is that no wires lead to the switch. The advantages of mains powered include no need to ever replace batteries, and the option of having lighted buttons. Should you opt for the battery-powered version, then the main control panel will alert you whenever a switch's battery requires replacing.
There are seven different button configurations available, and each of these can be fitted with three different button styles. In addition, each switch can be either battery-powered, or mains-powered. |
